Security Maintenance

Take the worry out of having your own dedicated server by allowing Othello Technology Systems to maintain the latest security patches and updates on your machine.

As security patches and upgrades to the standard software on your machine are released we will automatically login to your server and apply these. This may stop your machine being hacked into and could save your company downtime and embarrassment.

Under the Security Maintenance product we guarantee to install new patches within five business days of them becoming available.

Security Maintenance is available at the following rates ...

Monthly: £100 - NO setup fees

To order Security Maintenance simply select this option when you place your order or if you are an existing customer simply place your order via your DCP.

Systems Management

Many people don't have the technical ability to manage and configure their server on an ongoing basis, while others simply don't want to become system administrators when their time is better spent within their core business.

At Othello Technology Systems we have the solution to this problem. Our Systems Management products are a way of contracting us to manage your server on your behalf. As part of this package we will maintain your server for you and configure software at your request.

Standard Systems Management

The Standard Systems Management product includes:-
  • Security - Installing security patches and upgrades
  • Web Server - Installing and configuring modules, virtual hosts and password protection
  • FTP Server - Adding and removing users, configuring anonymous FTP
  • Mail Server - Configuring e-mail addresses, POP3 accounts, auto responders and mailing lists
  • Operating System - Log file rotation, adding and removing users, network + IP configuration and scheduled tasks configuration
  • DNS - Adding and removing domain names, modifying zone records and managing DNS configuration
  • Domain names - Modification and registration (registration at usual price)
  • Standard Systems Management is available at the following rates per server:-

    Monthly: £300

    Please note that systems management is available for customers hosting 25 or less virtual sites on their server. If you are interested in Dedicated Servers running a server with more than 25 virtual sites then please contact sales for a quote.

    Advanced Systems Management

    The Advanced Systems Management product includes:-
  • 4 Hour System Administrator Response 24/7/365
  • Account Manager to ensure the smooth running of your account
  • Industry Leading Reporting and Monitoring Software: BMC Patrol
  • Security - Installing security patches and upgrades
  • Web Server - Installing and configuring modules, virtual hosts and password protection
  • FTP Server - Adding and removing users, configuring anonymous FTP
